About Us

We learn about the world around us. But who teaches us how to understand ourselves?

Letters to Your Soul is a structured 12-month mental health education and whole-life wellbeing framework, created around a simple belief: every human being deserves access to the knowledge, understanding and skills to live a more accepting, balanced and contented life — both within themselves and in the world around them.

The journey is built around Twelve Steps to Your Soul — a carefully developed, step-by-step model exploring the foundations of mental and emotional wellbeing. It guides you through self-awareness, thinking habits, beliefs and personal needs, helping you understand yourself more deeply and recognise the patterns that shape your life.

Each month, a thoughtfully written letter builds on this foundation, bringing together reflection, practical skills and tools to help you put what you learn into practice. Together, these resources form a personal toolkit you can return to and use throughout your life.

Everything you need to better understand yourself, all in one place.

About the Creator

I’m Hollie, creator and author of Letters to Your Soul. I’m so glad you’re here, and that I can share the knowledge, understanding and skills I believe we all deserve to have.

I’m a registered mental health social worker, but just like you, I’m also a human being navigating the ups and downs of life. My passion for mental health began long before my professional career, as a child watching someone I loved experience significant mental health challenges. I saw how the system could help, but also how it sometimes fell short. As I grew older, I carried a belief that there had to be better ways to help people understand themselves and navigate the challenges of being human.

In 2021, during the pandemic, I began sharing my voice beyond my work in the NHS through my podcast, The Book of Wellbeing. A year later, the idea for Letters to Your Soul began to take shape.

Throughout my years working in mental health, I’ve noticed common themes in the ways we struggle, the patterns we repeat and the things we find difficult to understand about ourselves. I kept coming back to one question: what do we really need to know to help us navigate life?

This became the foundation of Twelve Steps to Your Soul — a framework I developed to explore the essentials of self-awareness, mental and emotional wellbeing, and personal growth. Each letter and tool has been carefully created to make this knowledge accessible, practical and relevant to everyday life.

I believe we need to understand what sits beneath our thoughts, feelings and behaviours, rather than simply feeling that something is wrong with us. We all deserve the opportunity to make sense of our experiences and discover new ways forward.

And while I’ve spent years learning, observing and writing about these things, I’m still learning about myself, too. I can be unorganised, scatty and avoidant at times. I meditate, but not because my mind is naturally peaceful — often, it’s quite the opposite! I’ve experienced times of feeling overwhelmed and alone, as well as times of picking myself up and beginning again. I share this because I don’t believe we need to have everything figured out to help others. We’re all human, all learning, and all navigating our own challenges.

Letters to Your Soul is my way of sharing what I’ve learned and what I believe we all deserve the opportunity to understand. From the bottom of my heart, I hope it helps you feel understood, make sense of your experiences and move through life with greater understanding, acceptance and compassion for yourself.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make the knowledge, understanding and practical tools we need to navigate life more accessible. Through mental health education and whole-life wellbeing, we want to help people understand themselves more deeply, recognise the patterns that shape their lives, and develop skills to support their emotional wellbeing, relationships and personal growth.

We’re rarely taught how to understand ourselves. It can be difficult to make sense of our thoughts, feelings and behaviours, particularly during challenging times. And when we do struggle, asking for help can feel daunting, while accessing the right support isn’t always easy.

Letters to Your Soul offers a different approach: a structured, accessible and relatable way to learn about ourselves and the experiences that shape us. Built on professional knowledge, experience and carefully developed resources, it brings together practical skills and tools that people can keep, revisit and use throughout their lives.

Because understanding ourselves isn’t something we should have to figure out alone — and the knowledge we gain can stay with us long after the 12-month journey ends.
